In winter :
reflects the heat issued by the heating appliances towards the interior thanks to the strong capacity of reflection (95%) of SKYTECH®. It’s very low emissivity (?= 0,05) reduces considerably the losses by radiation towards outside. It allows energy saving and an immediate comfort.

In summer :
With its reflective surfaces, SKYTECH® is a genuine thermal barrier. It reflects heat in the form of infra-red radiation in the higher air gap. This air gap is ventilated by the ventilation holes, sewer and ridge sheathing. By its very low emissivity, SKYTECH® limits the thermal radiation towards the roofs and makes it possible to reduce the use of air-conditioning while increasing comfort.

Breathable Membrane Waterproof, reinforced with glass fiber / aluminum micro perforated

Blanket made of continuous filaments of glass. These filaments have a diameter between 9 and 13 microns and are classified non-carcinogenic (European Directive 97/69/EC)

Pure aluminum siding breathable micro-perforated 30 µ

Contrary to the guarded hot box, test of laboratory which is used to define the R coefficient (R-value) of a material by taking account only conduction, the test of the heated cavity utilizes conduction, radiation, convection and the phase shift.

The study of this comparative curve makes it possible to show that WSKYTECH has a thermal behaviour similar to a glass wool of approximately 240 mm thickness. So an equivalence (Re) and (Ue) of :
Re = 6 m² .K/W ou Ue = 0.16 W/m² .K

what say the SNEST (National union of roof underlayment manufacturer)

How to carry out the ventilation of the hedging ?

“DTU of series 40 force to ventilate the under-face of the elements of hedging and/or their possible continuous support (battens, panels).

For that, it is necessary to spare, between the elements of hedging and the roof underlayment, an air gap of 2 cm minimum opened on outside by openings of split in top and bottom of slope.

In the same way, the roof underlayment posed on frame must be for the majority ventilated with their under-face in order to eliminate the possible risks of condensation…

Only the breathable roof underlayment (HVP - High Vapor Permeability), makes it possible to avoid the realization of this ventilated air gap.”

A insulation material posed under these conditions (fig.n°1) would lose its insulating properties by a lack of sealing to the drafts.

Only a insulating material having label HVP (coefficient. Sd =0,09) is authorized to close the roof completely (fig. n°2) and to create an envelope tight with the drafts.

The installation of an insulating material being inconceivable according to the fig. n°1, the only alternative to respect the DTU 40 (fig. n°2) is the choice of a insulating material with HVP label.

Unroll SKYTECH vertically (from top to bottom) or horizontally (upwards).

Fasten the insulation with a stappler and make

an overlapping of 10 cm (covering lines traced on the product).

Cover the junctions with the adhesive tape aluminum REFLEXBOND 100mm.

Fix the counter-batten the battens and then the roofing
